Wash and cut your preferred fruits into bite-sized pieces and arrange on a platter on shallow dish. Arrange the crackers or cookies with the marshmallows or cake.
Make the fondue:
Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a heatproof bowl.
Heat the coconut milk and coconut oil in a saucepan over a medium heat until it's just about to boil.
Carefully pour the hot milk over the chocolate pieces. Leave for a minute to start the melting process, then stir until smooth and glossy.
Add the vanilla extract (or other flavouring) and stir again until well combined.
Do a taste test and adjust as required.
If you have a fondue pot, pour the chocolate mixture into this, if not, keep in the heatproof bowl, or transfer to another one (if you're fussy about serving it tidy)! If changing dishes, it would be sensible to slightly heat the new bowl first (in the oven or by running hot water over it and drying thoroughly) to ensure your fondue stays dippable!
Serve the fondue with your fruits and cookies etc.
Use fondue skewers or small forks for dipping your items in.
