Failsafe baking!
Today I was going to share a recipe for ice-cream, as the weather has been lovely and warm recently in the UK, but the problem is, taking photos! So, instead I decided to share a few of our regular go-to failsafe recipes we use all the time!
The recipes
There are two bakes we make all the time, maybe switching up the ingredients a bit, but using the same base recipe. The third is a few very quick and easy ideas customised to you.
- Chocolate Brownies: These go down well with everyone! Our versions almost always include biscoff spread and caramelised biscuits, or oreos and chocolate chunks. Sometimes they include everything smushed and scattered.
- Bundt cake: We have found that a bundt tin makes a perfectly fluffy cake cooked equally all the way through and it is easy to make it plain, chocolate, coffee, iced or fruity with just a few simple switches.
- Puff Pastry: Keep some puff pastry handy so you can quickly whip up a main meal, a quick dessert, or some delicious snacks. Scatter with leftover roasted vegetables and sesame seeds to make an easy lunch. Make some fruit tarts, cheese straws or simply cut shapes, scatter over cinnamon sugar and bake.
