Hello from… oh! I think I will let you try to guess!
I am not at home and found myself whisked off to another country for a few days!
and the internet (and electric!) is temperamental! (Please excuse my delayed responses)!
Food wise, there is a lot of meat here! but also plenty of vegetarian food and it you know where to look, then you can also find vegan food! Of course, it helps if you can communicate a bit, which between us we can!
So here are some pictures to give you a few clues!
Fresh juice is very popular especially pomegranate juice.
There are lots of mosques.
You can find plates of meze which can be meat, vegetarian or if you ask nicely vegan!
They drink tea in this country!
I’ll wait and see what you come up with!
Hopefully I will find some recipes to take home too!
You’re in Istanbul!! I’m so jealous, love that city! Have a great time!!
Lisa… So quick! ?
The Haga Sophia gave it away! Beautiful pictures
Thank you Lisa
I would say Turkey, although “meze” is popular in Greek too
Lovely juices and hummus and olives and teas… yum!
Lots of yummy foods… yes… your first guess was correct!
Hope you are having a wonderful time, because I can already see you are having yummy food!
Enjoy!
