Oh Yes! Chocolate Cherry Free From Raw Ice Cream!

Oh Yes! Chocolate Cherry Free Fromย  Raw Ice Cream!

Ooo… I bet you thought I wasn’t going to make it to post this week! ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ™‚ Well here I am with an incredibly quick to make gorgeous bowl of raw frozen deliciousness (just for you Milica)! ๐Ÿ™‚

Itย was abnormally hot in the UK this week and hot weather calls for ice creams of course! For those following a free from diet of any sort, finding ice cream you can actually eat is very difficult… unless of course you make your own! No special equipment other than a blender / food processor needed. Seriously quick and easy to make, a little while to wait for it to freeze (or not!) and then munch away! Perfect! What did I do? I didn’t write it down that’s for sure – in my much too busy to think busiest week ever, but I did take photos so I could remember! Good job too as I’ve already made a second lot! ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ™‚ It only has FIVE ingredients and is super quick and easy to make! ๐Ÿ™‚ More time for enjoying the sunshine (you lucky people who have time at the minute!) ๐Ÿ™‚ Think of me being busy this week (especially Monday / Tuesday) and hopefully everything will start getting back to normal (?!) soon! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Gather

  • 1 banana
  • 3 dates destoned
  • 1 teaspoon cacao
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 5-6 cherries pitted

Prepare

  1. Put the banana, dates, cacao and cinnamon in a blender and blitz.
  2. Pour into a bowl and stir through chopped cherries.
  3. Cover and freeze for 1-2 hours (or longer if you can wait).
  4. Enjoy!

Serve & Store

  • Store in the freezer until required.
  • Eat on its own, in a cone, with more fresh fruit!
  • Put on top of cake or biscuits (cookies)!

O, I love this! I bet cherries give an extra kick with their sweet sourness. I do have pet peeve with them though. When I buy them frozen, there’s always some pit left, that makes my blender rattle like crazy ๐Ÿ˜€
You still owe me the model number for your food processor ๐Ÿ˜›

Milica these are red juicy sweet cherries ๐Ÿ™‚ They definitely add an extra dimension to the ice cream adding a plump moist burst of flavour! I can’t say I’ve ever put frozen cherries in the blender? I want to play now…

  • Fudgy chocolate brownies – vegan and gluten free | Life Diet Health 23rd March 2016 at 12:43

[…] These brownies were inspired by a recipe on Caroline’s Cooking and I just had to give them a try… with a few tweaks of course! Isn’t it amazing how many brownie recipes you can have! This will be the third I have posted onย this blogย – and when I was asked the other day which one I preferred I really didn’t know the answer! Anyway, these are great for the long weekend ahead, especially if you have vegan and free-from friends you need to cater for! I’ve paired mine with some delicious vegan ice-cream. […]
