How many times have you started something and then given up? Maybe it was too easy? Maybe it was too hard? Maybe it took too much time? Maybe you needed someone else to help? Maybe it was repetitive? Maybe it was just too boring?
How many times did you think about it afterwards? How many times did you think ‘I must finish it… or even continue it… someday!’
If you DID persevere and finish it, imagine what a sense of accomplishment you would feel! To know that you started something and even though you thought the best option would be to give up, you kept going! You concentrated and worked at it and then it was done! Hooray! Or, that you persevered and kept going, every month, or every week, or even daily! That you actually made a difference to someone, something or yourself.
Perseverance can tie up all those loose ends. Perseverance can give you a feeling of achievement and happiness! Go on! Try it! Finish (or continue) that task! 😀
Leave me a comment if you know there’s something you should be getting on with…
Hi Laurena, the main thing I should be getting on with is sorting out my EU citizenship as my British nationality won’t be much good here in mainland Europe after Brexit… I know we shouldn’t talk politics lol but you made me haha?☺
OMGosh! That sounds like something boring and lengthy but VERY important! It appears our passports here will probably need renewing a year early anyway – there’s a new online checker (I’ll post it separately)!
Thanks for the useful info, that’s very kind?. Germany has stated it will grant UK nationals a three month ‘grace’ period before we have to start faffing about with visas etc. after leaving. I’ll also need to renew my British one towards the end of the year… I shall look forward to my new blue one (favourite colour ?) but I also like maroon too haha. Sorry to bring Brexit into your blog post lol, we just can’t get away from it at the moment! x
I know! Trying to avoid it as much as possible… it’s even sneaked its way into my radio! x

By the way, where’s the lovely atmospheric photo from? I’m guessing Wales or Scotland? x
Ah well… that’s something I need to finish! Sorting all the photos on my laptop, my phone, my old laptop, my old phone…
Tell me about it lol… I even screenshot recipes under Photos on my ipad (and forget about them!). I found three boxes of photo albums in our loft earlier this month, arghh (wouldn’t be without them though)☺
I’ve got albums too and discs! My intention is to make them all digital! Or, condense them all into a printed photo book (like I did with Dad photos).
I’m sure we’ve got discs too lol- speaking of which, we’ve got a massive bag of CDs in the loft somewhere but can’t bring myself to ‘digitialise’ them. I doubt I’ll listen to them again tbh. First world problems again. You mentioned the B word creeping into your radio… I intentionally do it to myself by listening to LBC?
Lol! Thought of you this afternoon as they had a speaker from the Chamber of Commerce on… and there it was again! 😛 Oh we got rid of most of our CDs & DVDs… that could be your ‘perseverance’ to download the music, then rehome the CDs! 😛
I think I’m just too sentimental for my own good- if we ever go back to the UK for good lol, I’ll need to get rid of a whole load of stuff! Have a nice evening (or morning☺)
Me too! I’m setting myself mini targets though to recycle or re-purpose all those mementoes! Slowly, slowly! I couldn’t even imagine if we moved!!!
