Hooray! It’s Barbecue Time!
Finally the sun came out for a gloriously sunny weekend! We should really have been planting the garden or the allotment up but it was just a bit too sunny to do any hard work! ๐ So, instead we had a barbecue… or three! ๐ Good job we took advantage of the sunshine as it now seems to have vanished back to where it came from and even though at the weekend temperatures here reached a remarkable 28c (82f), it’s now around 11c (52f) and hail and rain is expected!
Anyway, you can be dreaming of these and when you can make them if you have our weather! or, if you’re fortunate to still have barbecue weather where you are, get making these right away! ๐
I’ve said it time and time again, but just in case you missed it, or you are new (welcome!) tofu is what you make it! Yes, it comes in a pack full of water! If you try and cook it like that of course you won’t like it! That was the mistake I made for several years! When I learnt how to cook tofu properly…well, some of them would sell out immediately if I packaged them up! ๐
So, have a look over here and check out how to make the best tofu, then follow this recipe and you’ll have yourself some totally delicious kebabs that are not only tasty but healthy too! YumYum! ๐
Looks tasty
Thanks! So very very tasty! I hope you are well.
I am not vegan but seeing these photos, I’m tempted to try this dish! Masha Allah
Thanks for sharing
JazakAllahu khairun Sumayya. Hubby is definitely not vegan but has suddenly taken a liking to my tofu! ๐ This is a really tasty and can easily be altered to suit your tastes.
[…] with everything! Put it in wraps, dollop it on burgers, eat with kebabs, ย put it on your jacket potatoes! Yummy! […]
Thanks for the tips on how to cook tofu properly. Whenever the warm weather comes people get out their bbq’s out and burn the heck out of the food. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Cooking outdoors whether you are cooking meat or vegetarian food is all about controlling the heat. I have written several blog posts that explain the principles of cooking on a bbq so that everyone can improve and enjoy cooking outdoors. https://wannabetvchefblog.wordpress.com/2015/06/13/the-art-of-cooking-on-a-barbecue-part-one/
Thanks Kevin. I’ll have a read later but your post about social media caught my eye! I think instagram is the way forward… at least for food bloggers! ๐ Have a great day.
