Love these ideas to enjoy time to rest, recharge and rejuvenate.

Hello! I hope you’ve all had the most fabulous week! I had a sneaky little extended weekend break as it was a Bank Holiday here. So I went to discover the delights of Derbyshire and Yorkshire! This whole year has been one of ‘things to create memories’ as I may be approaching a significant milestone birthday!

What an exciting break I had – some rest, definitely a recharge and lots of rejuvenation! Despite the unpredictable weather, including plenty of rain (& a bit of drizzle)! my trip was packed with memorable adventures. I carefully selected some small B&Bs, and two out of the three I would most definitely recommend! I had oat milk in a flask in the fridge for my personal use. Whilst another actually made home made oat milk for me! Indeed, they are definitely owned by outstanding proprietors! Vegan breakfast was no problem for these delightful hosts.

All served with unlimited toast & lots of coffee!

Holiday desserts

My main ‘rest’ on this short break was having someone else do the cooking! I was amazed to find so many vegan desserts on the menus; in independent coffee shops and on restaurant menus. I had decadent chocolate orange tart and a refreshing passion fruit semifreddo with fruit coulis. A bit indulgent, but coconut ice-cream sat atop a crispy waffle with raspberry drizzle and chocolate shards was irresistible. Lastly, a fluffy and creamy vegan biscoff cake is definitely a recipe for me to have a play with!

It was research!

A few views

One of the highlights of my trip was borrowing a “tramper” (a quadbike-style mobility scooter) to venture into the mountains. Having access to this scooter allowed me to explore the stunning Yorkshire landscape; an opportunity I would have otherwise missed. This rejuvenating experience served as a powerful reminder that with determination and resources, those with limitations can still partake in life’s adventures. It underscored the importance of accessibility and the positive impact it can have on creating meaningful memories. So, my message for you is to embrace every moment, regardless of your circumstances, and make some lifetime memories.

Rest, Recharge & Rejuvenate

Rest, recharge, and rejuvenate with the power of creating memories! Beyond just capturing moments, it’s about embracing each experience with open arms, regardless of the circumstances. Seizing the present and cherishing every interaction, adventure, and opportunity that comes our way. Whether it’s exploring new places, trying new foods, or simply spending time with loved ones, every moment has the potential to become a cherished memory and recharge us on our life journey.

On this short break, we’ve encountered a whirlwind of weather, from pelting rain to blazing sunshine. We’ve had lots of laughter and a treasure trove of unforgettable moments. Each day has been a chapter in its own right, weaving together a rich tapestry of experiences. These will become lasting imprints on our hearts, offering the perfect recharge. So, take each moment, whether grand or seemingly mundane, to play a role in shaping the unique story of your life. Seize this opportunity to make your own memories… and feel free to ask me for recommendations or any questions! (ps… there was a totally awe-inspiring part to my trip which I’m yet to share)!

Hi Laurena, it looks and sounds like you had a delightful trip! I love the Yorkshire and Derbyshire countryside 💚 (haven’t been to either for about 15 years though, lol). Also, how lovely you had so many vegan delights🤗
Have you ever visited Chatsworth, by the way?

OMGosh we drove past Chatsworth! They have SO much land and that was on a sunny day and it all looked glorious! We did have an amazing trip, but you’ll have to meet up with me to find out what the most exciting part was… it can only be told in person!
