Chocolate! REAL dairy free chocolate!
I wouldn’t usually do this but I’m just so excited! Yesterday I got a catalogue through from a well established British chocolatier (I love my chocolate)! and just flicking through looking at everything I couldn’t eat searching for the dark chocolate pages what did I see which almost caused me to fall of my chair?! OMGosh… as I already said I’m really excited about this! 🙂 There staring at me was a whole page titled
“milk-free milk chocolate” 🙂 🙂 🙂
WHAT? Milk-free milk chocolate? Okay so many of you may not get my excitement but here in the UK we don’t exactly have a to-die-for dairy free chocolate! Sure, we have several companies which have sprung up in recent years all trying to make something resembling milk chocolate (but without the milk) and I’m all for small local businesses BUT you try and get a child who was brought up on chocolate to taste it and you’ll realise it actually tastes nothing like milk chocolate! I’ve no idea how many different packets of dairy free chocolate buttons, dairy free bars, dairy free caramels or dairy free snowmen we have in the pantry and the fridge! I know they wouldn’t be there if they were real chocolate! In small doses when you need a chocolate hit these dairy free chocolates are okay, but the dark chocolate has more appeal (although usually a bit strong for children). Milk-free milk chocolate!? Well, I had to ring the chocolatier and make some enquiries and although the current range is geared to Easter, other milk-free milk chocolates WILL be made available soon! Here is what they have to say about the new range:
“Our milk-free chocolate is as mellow and creamy as our best milk chocolate, made with 56% cocoa and almond powder instead of milk powder and zero compromise on flavour!”
Are you as excited as me now!? 🙂 🙂 🙂 All I need now is to trek the 80 mile round trip to get some… and hubby if you’re reading this… you’re driving and you’re buying! 😛
