If you haven’t noticed the ever increasing vegan ranges appearing in stores, cafes and restaurants over the past few months… then I don’t know where you’ve been hiding! 😛
In the UK, supermarkets are increasingly both their vegetarian and their vegan (or plant-based) ranges. Coffee shops and cafes now not only have the option of soya milk but coconut milk or even almond milk too! 😀 You can now relatively easily get vegan cakes and vegan sandwiches and it is no longer becoming ‘strange’ or ‘weird’ to choose these options!
November is World Vegan Month and Thursday November 1st is World Vegan Day! I’m not going to lecture you on what you should or shouldn’t eat, but I’m just going to give you a few tasty ideas which you can easily whip up for everyone without the meat being missed! 😛 🙂
Nachos always go down well and all you need is some guacamole and salsa for everyone to enjoy them. If you’re feeling adventurous, add some bean chilli or go all out and add a plant based cheeze sauce too!
A vegetable curry with rice is a great dish, especially if you add some pakoras on the side! Or if chilli is more your thing, try this smoky bean chilli over a jacket potato.
Cake is always great and this seasonal spiced pumpkin apple cake is so so good everyone will want a slice! Or if you want more sweet and sticky, why not try this delicious Chocolate Caramel Slice (I’ve just reminded myself I have some in the freezer)!
I will come back later and add a few more plant based options… for some reason my website keeps giving me the dreaded blank white page and it’s driving me crazy! I think I need some technical help! Hopefully whatever it is will magically sort itself out and everything will be all back to normal soon! In the meantime – please think about vegan month – check out this link and plan some tasty vegan meals!!! 😀
